Today, the population of the Municipality is just over 5,400 inhabitants.
In May 2023, two exceptional events occurred in close succession, between the 1st and the 17th, with rainfall amounts exceeding 500 mm in the Modigliana area. In the territory of the Municipality of Modigliana alone, there are over 280 landslides.
